In terms of treatment, there are tens of thousands of complementary practitioners in the UK, but there are no residential clinics where patients can go to recover from acute illness or operations or for respite care, to get the benefit from a healing environment and the IM approach. This scarcity is such that many eminent IM physicians have to send their patients abroad to Germany, Switzerland and Mexico for the appropriate level of integrated medical care.
Our goal to opening an Integrative Medicine clinic for residential and out-patient care will see IM doctors and nurses drawn in from the isolated fringes and into collegiate practice. They will be able to quickly advance the understanding and development of the most effective protocols for different conditions, in particular cancer, allergies, ME, CVD, obesity and women’s health.
Other major advances will be in the provision of state of the art diagnostic services, proactive health mentoring, patient support services, CAM and psycho-spiritual interventions.
